Located in the Mechanicsville neighborhood, Passport Homes and Passport Residences were completed during the multimillion-dollar revitalization of the community with a HOPE VI federal grant in the early 2000s. Mechanicsville is a mixed-income community with affordable housing developments and historical district homes.

Passport Properties provides 83 infill housing units integrated into the existing community in two and three-bedroom duplexes and single-family homes designed to blend into existing architectural elements of the community. Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher Program participants may use a voucher for some units.
