YOUTH INITIATIVES

With support of the Family Investment Foundation, KCDC is committed to encouraging youth initiatives. In the coming years plans include expanding Boys & Girls Club facilities in four KCDC communities to meet the need of a growing youth population. Facility expansions are planned for Five Points, Western Heights, North Ridge Crossing and Montgomery Village.

An early childhood learning center is also planned for First Creek at Austin and Montgomery Village. These centers will address community health and education needs, serving as a teaching and research center to expand evidence-based, high-quality, affordable child care and early learning for inner-city Knoxville while also serving health care needs.
