Doing Business with Knoxville’s Community Development Corporation
KCDC provides many services and manages a variety of projects to enhance the quality of life for citizens in Knoxville. Much of KCDC's success over the years is a result of maintaining good business relationships and partners. In an effort to reach out to widest possible vendor pool, KCDC uses its webpage to post solicitations and addenda for any interested vendor to review.
Vendors interested in providing supplies and services to KCDC are encouraged to complete the simple and brief vendor registration process. Registration is self-service meaning that vendors are responsible for the correct entry and maintenance of information. Whenever contact information changes, the vendor needs to log in again and make the necessary changes. To do so, click on “Vendor Registration” like you are starting to register anew but the system will recognize your EIN and allow you to make changes. The commodities/categories that you choose will determine when you get automated emails from KCDC announcing bids. While this is a wonderful service to our vendor pool, KCDC cannot guarantee that it always works. KCDC’s sole guarantee is that solicitations will be posted to the webpage in accord with the procurement policy.
Vendors should review KCDC's procurement policy and other “How to Do Business” information on this page. Finally vendors should periodically review solicitations (quotes, formal bids, formal proposals) posted to the “Open Solicitations” page. KCDC utilizes the vendor list application as an aid in purchasing all goods and services. Purchasing techniques vary on different types of services or supplies, but competition is encouraged and promoted by KCDC's Purchasing Division. Posting of solicitations to our web page is KCDC’s only official way of communicating these opportunities to the vendor community.
